ASP.Net Web Developer / Programmer
June 24, 2009 - We have an opportunity for a student or recent graduate seeking a Jr. level software development position. This is a learning opportunity for someone who writes software just because its fun. You should be a senior, grad student or recent graduate who has working knowledge of OO fundamentals and web development using ASP.Net. You'll be a good fit if you have these talents:
- You write software in your spare time because its fun.
- You're not afraid to say, "I don't know" and you realize smart people ask lots of questions
- You're comfortable working with Visual Studio 2005 or 2008
- You understand basic database design principles and you're familiar with Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008, T-SQL, stored procedures and database functions
- You know what XSS, CSRF and SQL Injection attacks are and why your web applications should not be vulnerable to them
- You must speak English well
You should be familiar with the following technologies and tools:
- SQL Server 2005 & 2008
- Microsoft Visual Studio 2005/2008
- ASP.Net 2.0/3.5
- Microsoft Silverlight
- Fundamental understanding of MVC helpful, but not required
- Classic ASP
- HTML, XHTML & CSS
- Subversion source control system

This position is for between 15 and 25 hours per week and pay is hourly. This is an in-office position at our Utica, Michigan office, located in downtown Utica.
