Catherine Bukosera
We're fortunate to live in a country where we have abundant opportunities for education, recreation, jobs, healthcare and numerous other privileges that make life enjoyable.
We're also fortunate to be able to afford to help provide opportunities to people who do not enjoy the luxuries many of us do. Through Compassion International, we sponsor Catherine Bukosera, a young Ugandan girl whom we hope will learn skills to improve living conditions for her family and community. A quick glimpse at history reminds us that one person can -- and often does -- make a difference. Perhaps Catherine Bukosera will be one of those people.
A unique aspect of the Compassion Program is that we can exchange letters with Catherine, and also send small non-monetary gifts, such as books, stickers or other items that their mail system can handle. We encourage you to learn more about the Compassion program, and perhaps you'll find a child that you'd like to help.
Personal and Family Information
Catherine lives with her mother. Her duties at home include carrying water, helping in the kitchen and cleaning. There are 8 children in the family. Her mother is sometimes employed as a farmer.
As part of Compassion's ministry, Catherine participates in Sunday school. She is also in primary school where her performance is average. Playing ball games, running and playing group games are her favorite activities.
