Flexible Hosting Options
Since it's a website, you will need hosting. If you have your own web server, then you can host it yourself. If not, then InetSolution provides very cost-effective hosting with no long-term commitment. This is usually around $100 per month.
Process Credit Card Payments Online
To accept credit cards, you will need an Internet merchant account and payment gateway account. These are usually about $20 to $40 per month. If you don't have one or the other, you can sign up for both right online.
Where did this come from?
The Society of Professional Journalists sees a lot of contests and their member organizations were continually struggling to find a solution that met their needs. Instead of shoe-horning a solution, SPJ took the proactive step to develop a platform that met their needs. To assist other organizations, SPJ has decided to make their code available at a fraction of the cost to other organizations to build their own solutions.
SPJ worked with InetSolution to help bring their vision to reality. Through our partnership we have worked with the SPJ team to deliver an awards platform that will provide years of service without endless monthly subscription costs or high-cost monthly support plans.
